10:00 a.m. Walked out on the deck to finish eating an apple and 2 hummingbirds came to the red verbena to nectar. I had observed one at the feeder earlier. They hung in the air as I asked them when they were leaving and they just zoomed off to the tree tops! They are staying this year later than I can remember so they must like our buffet!
