Sightings report image

Date: 09/25/2015

Number: 1

Today's 5th grade drawing class had a treat – a viceroy, a monarch, and a painted lady all visited our school butterfly garden! Jason I. spotted the first viceroy just after 10 AM. The students got a good look at the differences in the wing patterns between this monarch look-alike and the real thing when Skye, Paige and Hailey spotted a beautiful monarch just 10 minutes later. Riley then spotted the painted lady that cooperated for a photo of its beautiful wing markings.
