Had 3 hummers on feeders at same time this morning before 6:50 a.m. They would feed & leave and then return to feeder a couple minutues later. At least one fed on salvias this morning. Pretty sure we have a fourth hummer, a small immature, still here. Saw it last night but not yet today. 2 like to battle over a feeder in front yard. One loves to perch in lilac tree.
At least one of these hummers is an immature male. Last sighting yesterday evening was 7:13 pm which is 5 minutes earlier than the last 2 evenings. We have matched last year's hummingbird season to the day with these sightings at our yard. So these little zippers could be leaving today. Stay tuned!
