Six monarchs seen feeding on thistles and nearby Bidens laevis. Three were fresh and new. In the past during this time period from this location monarchs have flown both to California and Mexico.

Monarch population is significantly lower in the eastern portion of the state. Instead the main monarch population has shifted westward towards the west-central portion.
