I just reported a monarch leaving my yard around 3:15 pm. I thought it weird that he'd go so late considering he'd spent the night before on a burning bush not far from his food source(Mexican Sunflowers)and that he'd spent all today on them. Shortly after he left the wind switched from SE to NE which favored his SW direction. Can they sense a wind change? Wow, if so.
