1 ruby throat female hummer on nectar feeder in front yard this morning around 7:00 a.m. She flew around house and started feeding on salvias in the backyard. Watched her feed and perch for about 15 minutes. Another cool morning with patches of local frost. 2 other hummers that were here yesterday morning have obviously moved on during the day Thursday. It's been a great hummer season. Had hummers all summer and more stopped in during fall migration than ever before and have stayed a little longer than average.
This might be my last hummer report for 2015. The consensus is it is sad to see them go. Safe trip little hummers!
