Actually I'm not reporting a "sighting" as I'm reporting a "leaving." For the past 3 years a female Ruby throated has come to my backyard and stayed all summer. She arrived not long after April 15, 2015 and I believe she left September 30, 2015. It got to 44 degrees that night overnight. Last year she left Oct. 1. I made nectar for her (and her friends) for 5-1/2 months this year. They are amazing little creatures. She always returns each Spring, but she's gone now, been gone about 2-3 days. She made herself very visible all summer to me and my neighbors. She liked the neighbor's rose bushes, but she was always at my feeder. :-)
