Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/02/2015

Number: 2

Two immature ruby throats came in to nectar at my feeders very early this am and fed heavily. The morning was cool (50 F), moderate rains, and breezy (no white caps on the river so below 19 mph, estimated at 10-15 mph gusts and lowest steady breezes at 7 mph).
I increased the nectar concentration to 1 to 3 in my feeders to help with the raw conditions the birds are facing for the next couple of days. The winds were from the WNW. To date I am still seeing at least one bird every day. At least one bird visited the feeder this evening.

(I only report multiples when I see more than one simultaneously or the birds seen vary in sex or age so I can distinguish between birds clearly.)
