Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/01/2015

Number: 1

Saw one adult male fluttering about in between rain showers, seeking shelter in a chestnut tree at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens. It has been very stormy lately - lots of rain and wind with temperatures below 60 for the most part - so I was surprised to see a butterfly on the move at all. Usually this is peak time for migration here, but the weather has not been suitable for butterfly flight.
