Driving from our place to Anton, we noticed 5 different locations of junipers in the 8 miles with monarchs beginning to move. It was about 11:30 a.m. when they were just warming up and taking off. There were at least 3000 who roosted in this area last night, probably more. The wind is about 10 miles an hour from the south as they take off.
