Fourth night of roost area. Butterflies began coming in on Sept. 30 and each night, there have been a new group stopping to roost.
October 3, Saturday, we noticed several locations in the park with large groups of 100 or more. Overnight temperatures have been in the 50's. Winds are out of the NE at around 8mph.
While watching the daytime skies over the area, one butterfly is spotted about every 10 to 15 minutes! It has been a great year for the butterfly migration.
