I was lucky to have had 30 Monarchs (that I witnessed) eclose this year. Today 10/5/15 my last one (a female) eclosed...on the tail end of the storm Joaquin. Waretown NJ...after she eclosed..the winds blew her off the fence..after all around my yard..I took her inside until she is ready to fly..I have other pictures to send..if I can email them. I would love to share this story...as this chrysalis has survived 3 days of 50-60 mph winds and driving rain.
