Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/05/2015

Number: 1

Wow! Still have an immature ruby throat hummer hanging around the salvias. Didn't watch much over the weekend and thought she had left. Saw her on Friday evening and assumed she would leave Saturday. Saw her this morning at 7:03 a.m. feeding on the salvias a couple times. This is a relatively late sighting for us. My wife has named the hummer Bitsy. It's a small juvenile.
Bitsy would have to stay 5 more days to equal our latest sighting. I don't think that will happen. Needless to say the nectar feeders will stay up at least until 10/19 at this point (with fresh nectar of course).
