Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 10/07/2015

Number: 1

A FEMALE RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD HAS STAYED BEHIND. This date is October 7th. Usually I see my hummingbirds until between the 10-15th of September. After that, they are gone. This one has endured rain and 59 degree temps for a few days. She looks healthy and happy...but she is sticking around. I have three feeders on my deck, having moved them closer to the house so I can tell when she is still here. And she is still here. If she is still here for another week, I will leave the garage door open, as my hummingbirds have used the garage to get out of the heat in the summer. She will need it if we get a cold snap. I am hoping she gets religion and departs.
