My migration hummingbirds are winding down. Oct 6 and 7 I had no sightings (the first two days I have had none this fall). Today a juvenile Ruby Throat arrived at 4:30 and fed briefly. I saw it again about 15 minutes later when it hit both of my remaining feeders for a longer stretch of feeding.

While I hope all of my visitors make it safely to central America I will miss them terribly. My heart really lifted when this bird came in to feed today. Keep your feeders up! I had birds come in two weeks after my "last" sighting last year near the end of Oct in northern VA.
