6-12 butterflies in flight led us to the roosting spot of multiple dozens in one tree inside the city limits of Big Spring,TX, near the southern outskirts of town.

It was October 5th, 2015 at about 7:20 pm. Overnight temps were in the 60s.

I saw about a hundred of them this morning, October 10th, in waves of about a dozen at a time, floating and fluttering southward. It was between 10-11a.m.
