We have a 1 acre converted suburban lot that is a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We have larvae, caterpillars, and monarch butterflies with 2 hatchings per year. We lost 1 monarch to predation since we have bird preferred nut & fruit shrubs. All the 7 monarchs have left except one (either a late hatching or migrant) that stayed 2 weeks and is now gone.
