Today's 5th grade drawing class was greeted by 3 the students who went outside to draw today were greeted by 3 beautiful monarchs, swooping and flying around the butterfly bushes in our school garden. Connor and John were the first to spot them, but everyone in our art class got to see them in flight. One of the monarchs then stopped to feed and we were able to get a beautiful photograph. The butterfly stayed on the bush so long that Parker, one of the students, was able to draw the monarch!
