Last Monarch sighted here was on Saturday, October 3:
Its been almost a week since I saw the last Monarch here in northwestern Wisconsin.
It soaked up sun with its wings spread, fed briefly on a white clover, then flew up over the house and was gone.
Temperatures have been cold nights for the last 2-3 weeks, warming to the low 60s during the day. Winds have been challenging, mostly from the south.
Overall assessment for the year is that the monarchs did pretty well around here. Lots of sightings, and hopefully lots making their way to Mexico.
Last monarch?/ Last entry for 2015?
take care..............
