Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/10/2015

Number: 2

I saw two Monarchs today! I saw the first flying high while we were driving around Leawood. I saw the second while on a 45 minute walk around the neighborhood. I saw it up close and confirmed it was a Monarch. It did not stay still long enough for a photo, however. It was feeding on Black-Eyed Susans. It is a beautiful and sunny day in Kansas with a high in the lower 70's. A perfect day for those butterflies that are still here!
