Searching the Blue Ridge Parkway in WNC for Monarchs. No Monarchs noted at my favorite spot at Pounding Mill Overlook near Brevard where we had counted 44 per hr the previous day. We had unexpected rain all morning but were surprised to find 3 Monarchs as we pulled into Rough Butt Bald Overlook at 3:30pm (22 minutes/12 miles further south)
