Checked a couple areas about 17:30. Monarch adults mostly on liatris. Only 5 sheltering in tree groves, not roosting. Several time saw 2 to 4 at once but not interacting. Most spread fairly evenly. Wind generally NE or calm. I did not sample the whole property. Number reported is directly counted only, not scaled up from sample.
