We had a lot of hummingbirds all Spring & Summer, and we noticed that the males left about 1 month ago. Since then, we aren't sure whether the hummingbirds who are still here are the females we've had all Summer, or juveniles trying to beef up for their first migration. But we have had fewer numbers in the past month, with the past few days being the least amount of visiting hummingbirds at all. We just don't know if they are migrators, or the remaining females & juveniles from our Summer season. But we do know we'll miss them terribly, and wish them a safe migration :)
