After seeing our last bird, a juvenile male, on September 17th, and going on vacation for a week, Kate saw a young female visiting one of our feeders this morning. We have not seen any hummers since that day, September 30th, and I am entering this report on October 12th. We’ll keep the feeders up another few weeks, but this is probably it until mid April. Safe travels, tiny iridescent visitors from the tropics!
