One newly emerged adult female sighted at 10:15 am. Flew to a high shrub in sunlight and remained motionless a couple of minutes. Then flew a bit wobbily to roof of house and stayed motionless , sunning. Good weather today, hoping she gets a good start on journey south. I had lots of caterpillars in the milkweed weeks back but was not sure if any I did not bring in to hand raise had survived the 19 inches of rain we got a week ago. At least this one did and she was a big beauty.
