A final monarch? After an afternoon of robins, red-wing blackbirds, cedar waxwing juveniles and yellow-rumped warblers bathing and drinking at the birdbath, one lone monarch showed up at 5:40 p.m. for a sip at the Mexican sunflowers. Overcast and 72 now, the temperature crashes and comes back up to only 57 tomorrow. The butterfly has a wind from the southwest to contend with now and not much better (from the west) tomorrow.
