Four monarch butterflies at Rye Town Park, Rye, NY. Three landed for a few minutes to get nectar from butterfly bushes that were still blooming. The fourth spent extensive time eating from a butterfly bush and also landed on nearby cattails to sunbathe. This fourth monarch butterfly (photo submitted) spent more than 20 minutes in the area before landing somewhere on the ground out of sight possibly to spend the night in the area.
