Healthy male enclosed today and was released. One more chrysalis to go... Soon...ðŸ‚ðŸƒðŸ˜‰âœ¨
These are "captive " monarchs (total 12 for the season)found as wild eggs or caterpillars ðŸ›in my small yard. Since the breeding occurs in the wild, I don't think they carry the risks of large scale commercial breeding. (Note recent article advising against large captive breeding).
