Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 10/05/2015

Number: 400

I heard that there was a large roost in Abilene at Hardin Simmons University so I drove to take a look. There were hundreds, flying around all in the sky and roosting in the trees. There was not a place in the sky as you turned around that didn't have a Monarch. It was amazing! We saw them throughout the morning and late evening. We had a student notify us for the next morning and they were still there the next day.
