In Point Pelee National Park today between 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm saw 2 monarch butterflies. One female near Deslaurier Homestead & the other near the TIP fluttering above the treetops. It was 20 c/68 f, sunny with a strong SE Wind near tip & moderate wind away from tip. None observed attempting to cross Lake Erie.
There is still plenty of both New England & Short's Asters & a wee bit of goldenrod left.
There have been reports of monarchs still north of here in Stratford, Ontario & NE of here in Toronto, Ont.
