Planted a completely new flower garden in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn in order to attract hummingbirds for the first time. One actually first showed up on July 19, the second on Sept. 12 and two showed up on Sept. 21st and Sept. 22 fueling up for the better part of these two days. In addition to three feeders they also loved my 2 six foot butterfly bushes. I grew up in Brooklyn but never saw (noticed) any. I am eagerly gearing up and awaiting the spring migration in April.
