A brightly colored male adult was nectaring on a red clover blossom at noon today, in the empty lot on 10th Street south of Fairmount Avenue (north central Phila.) Weather is partly sunny, 69 degrees, light winds from southwest. This empty lot has abundant fresh milkweed -- I wonder if he emerged from a chrysalis nearby.
