Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/13/2015

Number: 1

My husband saw same brownish colored hummingbird around 9:00 am while taking the dogs out. He believes he either scared it or that it was finished feeding as she took off towards neighbors house. At 12 noon I had to take all feeders down. The few honeybees we had for the last couple of days turned into a swarm of at least 60 bees or more. I tried washing them, putting one in the corner of the lot just for the bees. Move one to the front porch but finally had to take all down. I will try after 24 hr,s to put one back up. Everything I researched said the bees would give up pretty easy but the hummers would not. Since she is getting food from other sources I will try again to put feeder back up tomorrow around 12 noon. I will also try the Hummzinger Hightop Hummingbird feeder made by Aspects next year as many people say this helps prevent the bee problem.
