On October 11th it was a very warm sunny 24 degrees C and I happened to see one male adult Monarch feeding along side the hiking trail near my home. He was feeding on golden rod and wild aster and it is surprising since this is the latest fall wild sighting I have noticed this far north ever. I observed this hungry Monarch for ten minutes until he flew away.
