One monarch flew right in front of the car about 2pm. It looked to be heading west, bucking a strong west-northwest wind (15 mph). I stopped at a nearby public garden, but didn't see any other monarchs. There were many other butterlflies there, including a Painted Lady (monarch mimic) and a Buckeye.
