I just saw a Monarch in my garden. I couldn't get close enough to tell the gender. I think it had been feeding on the cosmos and/or zinnia. It flew over to the now spent asters then took off in a south easterly direction. The temperature is 62 degrees with bright sunshine and WSW winds at 12 miles per hour. We are expecting our first frost on Saturday night.
