After no sightings on 09/11,a juvenile visited my deck at 1:15 PM and again at 2:10 PM. It fed from the streptocarpella flowers,checked out the mandevillas and roses,and perched briefly on the cord of a string of ornamental lights before flying east. The second time it repeated the performance,then it attempted to drink from the feeder but gave up almost immediately because of interference from yellow jackets. It flew off towards the south and did not return.
