At 1:18 PM, I observed a monarch flying south about two feet above the beach along the Lake Huron shoreline at Harrisville State Park. It was partly sunny and 48F. Wind NW-7. This was the 5th monarch counted for October, 2015. Last year, I had counted 41 by this date.
