Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 10/15/2015

Number: 1000

I have a second wave of Monarchs. The numbers have increased since my first report. The numbers in my trees are about a thousand, at least. The air in my yard is filled with them. I can see a drastic increase this year in their population. During the drought years, the swarms were smaller. The rains this summer have benefited the Monarchs like all the other wildlife. They have made up for the lack of population in the past. Mother nature has rebounded once again. In one season, they have made up for the losses over the last five years. I'm so happy to see them back at full force, once again.
