Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/13/2015

Number: 2

I noticed one hummingbird at the feeder. I thought the one I had seen a few days previously was my last one. I put fresh sugar water in the feeder and the hummingbird came back. He/she drank for about 10 seconds without stopping. He continued to fly back and forth from the loblolly pine trees to the feeder for about 15 minutes. Then he was joined by a second hummingbird. They sparred for a few seconds, then both sat on the feeder perches and drank together. I continued to see these two hummingbirds fly back and forth from trees to feeder for about an hour. By this time it was close to sunset. I looked for them the next morning but didn't see them. This may be my last sighting for the year. At least I sent them off with full bellies of fresh sugar water!
