On vacation in Texas and saw hundreds of monarchs in the pecan trees yesterday (10/16 at 4pm), saw one roost of 40 in Big Bend and another 100 in the yard of the house we were renting in Marathon, Texas (10/16 at 5pm). They were still there the next morning (10/17) when we left.

Editor’s note: Observer confirmed 10/16 is the night the roost formed.
