Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 10/03/2015

Number: 1

Last visit at the two feeders. This little female sat on a trellis as I watered some mums and she flew in and out of the hose spray and she took her final bath on the trellis, flapping her wings while I sprayed her...she was preparing for her flight home? It was our last warm day. So nice to see these visitors each spring, but this year no males. I wonder if these are offspring or parents? This hummer was quiet, not as chirpy as some in the past.

PLANT: Anise Sage 'Black & Blue'
(Salvia guaranitica) It was a winner and still hanging on despite 32 degrees nights in NW Ohio! The hummer loved it! Had it in 6 planter, front and back of house. See you in the SPRING!
