Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 10/18/2015

Number: 1

Much to our dismay, a mockingbird ate our one and only monarch larva in our garden today! It was quite upsetting, as I had planned to dig up the plant to put it in a pot and set it in our screen box we built for this occasion. However, we have had several adults(don't know if they were male or female) in our garden yesterday and today. The weather today is a bit cooler then previously, strong breeze, sunny but temps in the high seventies. We have a variety of flowers including zinnias, vincas, gerbera daisies and milkweed to attract the butterflies.
