I thought the Monarch's that passed thru the last two weeks were supposed to be 4th Gen's that were going to an over wintering site but I have at least 1 chrysalis and 9 larvae and probably more that we haven't spotted. That means that 2 of the butterflys we saw about a week apart both laid eggs. My question then is were those late 3rd Gens and these offspring are the 4th Gens or are these some 5th Gen animals and will they now do the overwintering.
