Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/18/2015

Number: 3

After a lull in the action, since the eleven left, I discovered three Monarchs nectaring in the garden/meadow. They have been here every day since and must be sheltering in trees as we have rainy and cool weather today. By Fri we should have reasonable weather again so hope they can continue their journey. Time is running out, but this makes two years in a row where we've had a late date for a freeze. Usually this time of year we can expect snow, not rain. There still are wild nectar plants blooming.
