We currently have 2 Hummingbirds still visiting our feeders and flowers. I assumed they were both females but, while outside caring for the flowers, I discovered 1 of our Hummers is actually an immature male. He not only fed from the feeder next to me, but he came over to investigate both myself and the flower trimmings in my hand. It was a wonderful encounter, and quite a nice surprise to find that we have a young male visitor so late in the season.
