On a beautiful fall day with temps in the high 60's and a NW wind I spotted 11 monarchs feeding on golden rod. I observed for an hour. Despite recent nightly temps of low 30's the monarchs looked healthy. Evening temps tonight and the next few nights are expected to be in the 50's.
