1000's on monarchs streaming thru Monterrey, NL, MX since Sunday, October 25.
I started seing larger numbers this Sunday October 25th, actually I had one laying eggs on my Asclepias. Later many were perching on a Celtis laevigata (Southern Hackberry?), I thought they may spend the night there but it was windy.
Monday and Tuesday (October 26-27) have been quite calm, with soft winds from the south.
What would be the way to count them? They are so many, that I really do not think I could count them. Most of the flow (where I live) is in the morning (8-11) when it is relatively cool, in the 60-70's °F.
