Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/21/2015

Number: 20

Last year very few monarchs roosting. This fall the numbers are low but on one day last week, I counted 20 caterpillars and now have about 6 cocoons. Last year I suspected that my milkweed was compromised. i also had an infestation of the beetles, that looked like large lady bugs and they were eating/killing my milkweed. This year I have only caught and destroyed about 1/2 dozen.
