We continue to see feeder activity, both males and females. I saw what appeared to be a male Anna's this morning with a bright red head. It is hard to know whether we are seeing continuing residents or birds on their migration.
We had quite a few overwintering birds last winter. I took them to be immature Anna's who did not migrate. I didn't see any head coloring till spring.
